The development proposed is a mixed-use scheme which includes apartments, a nursing home, commercial units and associated support functions, as well as external amenity spaces including. 

The housing takes the form of a deck-access apartment perimeter block (Blocks A and B) on the north and west portion of the site, with commercial units at ground floor along Cookstown Road. 

A nursing home/step-down facility in this rapidly developing area complements the residential development and answers the need for such a service within a growing area of significant population. Its proximity to Tallaght hospital means it can also be used as a step-down facility allowing patient recovery within their community while also serving as a step-up facility.  

The development as a whole is tied together with a landscape plan designed with Áit U+L which includes a generous communal amenity area for housing residents, a secure courtyard for nursing home residents, and a public open space which forms part of the new pocket park in the area.
