This project for Fingal County Council involved the delivery of 67 ‘accelerated delivery’ houses and associated site works on a site of approximately 2.25 ha. at Mulhuddart in Dublin 15.

The houses are arranged in terraces to form a network of streets and the house types ranged from single bedroom bungalows to four bed, three storey houses. The units were constructed from light gauge steel (LGS) including all external walls, party walls, internal partitions and floors. The project was completed in August 2023.

The benefits of panelised LGSF construction on projects such as this include a high standard of construction derived from factory production and factory quality management standards, a reduced programme with reduced exposure to weather delay, compact storage and transport with relatively light handling and vastly reduced construction waste.
